Colin Flinders

Colin Flinders is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as Principal Scientist at Appia Bio since October 2021. Prior to this, Colin held key positions at Kite Pharma, advancing from Senior Research Scientist to Research Scientist between August 2019 and October 2021. Colin's earlier experience includes a role as Research Associate at The Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC from February 2018 to August 2019, and as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Southern California from January 2015 to February 2018, where research focused on tumor hypoxia in colorectal cancer models. Colin began their academic career as a Graduate Student at the University of California, Los Angeles from September 2008 to December 2014, and contributed to the development of zinc finger nucleases at Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc. as a Staff Research Associate I from August 2006 to May 2008.
