Weikun Xiao

Weikun Xiao has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. In 2013, they began their career as a research assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2019, they joined the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Associate. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Scientist II at Appia Bio, where they are responsible for CAR-iNKT R&D and CAR-T and CAR-iNKT production.

Weikun Xiao received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2009 and 2013. Weikun then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles, which they completed in 2018. In 2022 and 2023, they obtained a Certificate in Data Science from UC Berkeley Extension.
