Monica Pinto

CFO at Appian Capital Advisory

Monica is Appian's Chief Financial Officer. Based in London, she is responsible for managing the financial operations of the company at group corporate level as well as at fund level, including the relationships with financial providers, co-ordinating the finance and administration of the fund vehicles, with oversight of financial and regulatory reporting, deal structuring and tax, as well as maintaining investor relationships alongside Appian's CEO and the Global Investor Relations team.

Originally from Portugal, with over 25 years experience, she has worked in Financial Services across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, spanning direct investment, debt financing, operational execution and strategy consulting, with organisations of varying

levels of maturity and scale, from start-ups, SMEs to global multinational companies. Prior to joining Appian, Monica was part of the founding team and the CFO/coO of a FinTech focused Private Equity fund manager, where she led the operations of the group

across geographies and supported its exponential growth from inception to c. US$i billion in AuM, whilst holding various managerial roles

Prior to that, Monica was a Director at a Portuguese based corporate bank where she led the business unit focused on private equity investments, debt financing and corporate finance in international markets, including Africa and Brazil.

Monica was also a strategy consultant and Manager for Marakon Associates, in the Financial Services practice, where she led teams in Europe and Brazil for global banks in a variety of strategic issues. Prior to her MBA, she was a Project Manager for Procter&Gamble overseeing projects in Latin America and South East Asia. Monica holds an MBA from INSEAD and gained an MSc. in Computer Science & Systems Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal.
