User Experience Researcher at Applause

Madeline Padgett has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. In 1995, they worked as a Website Designer and Consultant at Madeline's Multimedia, where they assisted in creating and maintaining websites for organizations such as the Alliance Française d'Atlanta and Emory University's Department of French and Italian. During this time, they also created multimedia educational materials for studying Old French and medieval manuscripts.

From 1997 to 1999, Madeline worked as an Instructor of French at Kennesaw State University. Madeline'sresponsibilities included teaching college-level French courses, producing web resources for French courses, and attending classes for K-12 Teacher Certification in Foreign Language Education.

In 1999, Madeline joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student. Madeline prepared digital reading materials for English classes and created a database of public domain reading materials for English courses.

Madeline continued their education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Graduate School from 2003 to 2014. Madeline held various roles during this time, including Board of Regents Fellow, Teaching Assistant, Graduate Student, and Ph.D. Candidate. Madeline'sresearch focused on cultural identity and language varieties in Louisiana French. Madeline also video-recorded and archived French language activities in the local community and initiated the development of an open-access repository for Louisiana French.

In 2014, Madeline worked as a General Contractor at Historic Home in Sterling Grove until 2016. Madeline then joined Applause as a User Experience Associate from 2016 to 2018. Madeline took on the role of French Language Consultant at Accelerate Education from November 2017 to February 2018.

In 2020, Madeline joined Virtro Technology as a French Language Specialist until April 2022. Currently, they are working at Applause as a User Experience Researcher since April 2023.

Madeline Padgett has an extensive education history. Madeline obtained a Bachelor's degree in French, magna cum laude, from Emory University in 1993. Following that, they pursued further studies and earned a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 1999 and 2002.

Continuing their academic journey, Madeline Padgett enrolled at Middlebury College in 1993 for a one-year program, where they earned a Master's degree in French. Eventually, they pursued their passion for Francophone Studies and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a period spanning from 2003 to 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, Madeline Padgett has also obtained professional certifications. In 2019, they successfully completed the "Google Analytics for Beginners" course provided by the Google Analytics Academy.
