Senior UX Researcher at Applause

Rebecca Okoroji has extensive experience in the field of UX research and design. Rebecca currently works as a Senior UX Researcher for a remote company since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at sincera experience consulting from 2017, where they held the role of Experience Architect and Business Analyst, focusing on delivering exceptional user experiences. Rebecca also worked at Applause as a Senior UX Researcher from 2014. Rebecca has also served as the Head of Digital Experience Design - EMEA at Avnet Services: Business Solutions (formerly Ascendant Technology) from 2010 to 2016, where they were responsible for hiring and managing a team of digital experience consultants. Before that, Rebecca worked as a freelance consultant from 2009, taking on roles such as Business Analyst, Project Manager, and UX Architect. Rebecca has also held positions at MHP – A Porsche Company as a Senior Consultant from 2002 to 2003, and at IBM (formerly SerCon GmbH) as a Consultant/Senior Consultant from 1998 to 2001.

Rebecca Okoroji obtained a Dipl. Wirtschaftsinformatikerin (FH) degree in Computer Science from Cologne University of Applied Sciences, from 1994 to 1998. Rebecca further pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from Universität Duisburg-Essen VAWi starting in 2004.

In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the following:

- Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) from IAAP - International Association of Accessibility Professionals in October 2020.

- Certified Change Management Practitioner from Prosci in July 2015.

- iRise 8 Certified Modeler from iRise in April 2013.

- HFI-Certified Usability Analyst from Human Factors International in November 2011.

- Business Process Framework (eTOM) certification from TM Forum in December 2009.

- Information Framework (SID) certification from TM Forum in December 2009.

- Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5 in April 2006.

- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2006.

- Certified Customer Experience Professional from the Customer Experience Professionals Association (CXPA) in March 2017.
