Matthew Rash

Matthew Rash began their work experience as a Law Clerk for The Honorable James R. Spencer in 2004. In 2005, they joined McGuireWoods LLP as an Associate, where they eventually became a Partner in 2016. In 2019, Rash transitioned to Apple Hospitality REIT Inc, initially serving as the General Counsel before becoming the SVP and Chief Legal Officer in April 2020.

Matthew Rash attended the University of Virginia from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Government and Foreign Affairs. Matthew then enrolled in the University of Richmond School of Law from 2001 to 2004 and obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
