Jolevette Mitchell

Jolevette Mitchell, Esq. serves as Vice President and Senior Counsel in Consumer Banking at Apple Bank since October 2022. Prior to this role, Jolevette held positions at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as FinTech Counsel, where responsibilities included educating senior management on digital assets and advising on relevant statutes and regulations, and at the New York State Department of Financial Services as Senior Attorney and Regulatory Compliance Attorney in the Research and Innovation Division, focusing on virtual currencies and financial technology. Additionally, Jolevette has experience as a Compliance Associate at Gemini, an Excelsior Fellow at the New York State Division of Human Rights, and has participated in various internships throughout legal education, engaging in research on regulations, discrimination cases, and disaster relief. Jolevette earned a Juris Doctorate from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Peter's College.
