Matt Jacobson

Matt Jacobson currently serves as a Venture Partner at ATP (Apple Tree Partners) since July 2023. Jacobson is also an Interim Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder at Nine Square Therapeutics and Circle Pharma, Inc., positions held since May 2020 and April 2013, respectively. At the University of California, San Francisco, Jacobson has held multiple academic titles, including Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, since September 2002. Additional roles include membership on the Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board for various companies, such as Deep Apple Therapeutics, Initial Therapeutics, Apertor Pharmaceuticals, and Nereid Therapeutics, with various appointment dates in 2022 and 2023. Jacobson co-founded Terremoto Biosciences in June 2021 and has served as a consultant for Maze Therapeutics since September 2019. Jacobson earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Chemistry from Stanford University.
