Jim Dovey

Jim Dovey is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing applications for Apple platforms. Currently serving as a tvOS SwiftUI Engineer at Apple since May 2020, Jim previously collaborated on infrastructure code for iOS and Android apps at LinkedIn from October 2017 to March 2020. Co-founding XPlatform Consulting in October 2006, Jim has maintained a dual role as a tvOS Software Engineer there. Past roles include serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Apple, focused on watchOS, and as Lead Software Engineer at Kobo, where Jim created the Readium SDK and played a pivotal role in establishing the Readium Foundation. Jim's prior experience encompasses significant positions in various companies, including managing software development at Hi Resolution Software and contributing to innovative projects as a freelance engineer. Jim holds an education from The University of Salford.
