Shruthi Kubatur

Shruthi Kubatur currently serves as the ML R&D Lead at Apple since October 2020, specializing in Deep Learning and Large Language Models, among other skills. Previously, Shruthi was a Sr. Scientist in Imaging and ML at Berkeley Lights, Inc. for a year, and prior to that, held the position of Sr. Research Scientist at Nikon Research Corporation of America. Shruthi began academic pursuits as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, where the focus was on developing signal processing methods and stochastic models, and later also worked as a Teaching Assistant. An early career experience includes an internship at ON Semiconductor, contributing to the development of algorithms for automotive image sensing products. Shruthi holds a PhD in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor.
