Syed Arefinul Haque

Syed Arefinul Haque, PhD, is a seasoned data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Apple since June 2025, focusing on Knowledge Graph and GenAI. Previously, Syed held senior and data scientist roles at Independence Blue Cross, where responsibilities included utilizing GenAI for ticket assignment processes and evaluating models to predict patient visit sequences. As an ORISE Postdoctoral Researcher at the FDA, Syed worked on enhancing natural language processing and machine learning classifiers to identify drug-adverse events in clinical narratives. Syed's academic background includes a PhD in Network Science from Northeastern University and leadership training from The Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership. Prior to the academic and data science career, Syed gained experience in business development and project management.
