Tapani Raiko

Tapani Raiko is a Principal Research Scientist at Apple since August 2016, specializing in deep reinforcement learning. Previously, Tapani co-founded The Curious AI Company and served as an Academy Research Fellow and Assistant Professor at Aalto University from October 2002 to July 2016. Other notable roles include Senior Scientist at ZenRobotics Ltd, a Postdoctoral Researcher, and various visiting researcher positions at prestigious institutions such as Université de Montréal and the University of Toronto, collaborating with renowned experts like Yoshua Bengio and Geoffrey Hinton. Tapani holds a Doctor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
