Vicente Escandell is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong focus on performance modeling and CPU design. Currently serving as the GPU Performance Modeling Lead at Apple since November 2016, Vicente previously held key positions at ARM, where responsibilities included leading the performance modeling for a new CPU microarchitecture. At Intel Corporation, Vicente contributed as a Silicon Architecture Engineer, leading performance analysis for the Knights Hill CPU and working on the design of graphics hardware features for Intel products. Early career experience includes research at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, focusing on workload characterization for mobile GPUs. Vicente holds a Master’s degree in Computer Architecture, Networks and Systems, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, both from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
