Virginia Burgess

Virginia Burgess currently serves as the Global Legal Lead for Non-fiction and Podcasts in Original Content Legal & Studio Affairs at Apple, a position held since November 2020. Prior to this role, Virginia was a Solicitor (UK) and Attorney (NY) at Reed Smith LLP from October 2018 to November 2020, and worked as the Business Affairs Manager for the Film Fund at The British Film Institute between June 2013 and July 2017. Earlier in the career, Virginia held the position of Associate Solicitor at Allen & Overy from March 2008 to May 2013, where involvement included both project finance practices in London and Sydney. Virginia's educational background includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School (2017-2018) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the College of Law, London (2005-2007), complemented by a Bachelor's Degree (BA Hons) in Modern Languages from the University of Bristol (2001-2005), which included an Erasmus Year Abroad in Spain and France.
