Yinying Pan

Yinying Pan is an experienced engineering manager at Apple since September 2016, leading a team of machine learning engineers focused on language understanding for Siri and Search across Apple products. Previously, Yinying worked as a machine learning engineer at Apple, contributing to improvements in Siri's natural language understanding and search capabilities. Prior experience includes a role as a software engineer at Baidu, Inc., where Yinying evaluated and enhanced the back-end search service for Baidu Maps, with an emphasis on ranking optimization and feature engineering. Yinying's career began as a research and development intern at SAP, where a customized bin packing approach was developed to enhance operator placement in complex event processing systems. Yinying holds a Master of Engineering in Communication Systems Security from EURECOM, an Engineer’s Degree from Télécom Paris, and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Science & Engineering from Nanjing University.
