Zach Song

Zach Song is an experienced ML Engineer currently engaged with Apple since July 2021, specializing in conversational AI and Siri development. Prior to this role, Zach held the position of Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, focusing on contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, and widget ranking from June 2020 to July 2021. Zach's tenure at Uber spanned from May 2015 to June 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer II in Machine Learning, where responsibilities included leading the ranking and search quality team and developing a search ranking ML framework. Earlier experience includes a Software Engineer role at Google, working on web search and machine learning applications, and a Senior Software Engineer position at deCarta, where Zach authored a world-wide map search engine. Zach holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Stony Brook University, completed between 2005 and 2007.
