Kate O’ Hara

Kate O'Hara has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Kate has held roles such as Associate Director of Special Education for Secondary Schools at Appleton Area School District since 2023. Prior to that, they served as a School Principal at Fond Du Lac Public School District from 2021 to 2023, with a previous role as Interim Principal from 2020 to 2021. Kate also worked as an Assistant Principal at the same district from 2019 to 2021. Before joining Fond du Lac School District, Kate worked as a Self Contained EBD Teacher at Fond du Lac School District from 2016 to 2019. Kate also served as a Special Education Teacher at Beaver Dam Unified School District from 2013 to 2016 and as an IDS Special Education Teacher at Port Washington-Saukville School District from 2012 to 2013.

Kate O'Hara obtained a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Butler University in 2007. Kate then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Special Education and Teaching from Cardinal Stritch University from 2010 to 2015. In 2018, they attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where they earned a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, with a focus on General Education. Kate also participated in a literature and culture program in Peru at the School for International Training in 2006. Additionally, Kate has obtained a Common Sense Educator certification from Common Sense Media and a Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher certification from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in 2012. Kate has also been trained in Dare to Lead.
