Bob Leeney

Vice President (VP), IT Operations at Applica Solutions

Bob Leeney has over 40 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Bob began their career in 1981 as a Chief, Space Electronics Engineer for the United States Air Force. In this role, they were responsible for directing and coordinating a team of engineers and quality assurance specialists. Bob then moved on to the United Space Alliance in 1998 as a Space Shuttle Reliability Engineer, where they were responsible for performing safety and reliability qualitative risk assessments. From 2001 to 2016, they worked at ARES Corporation as the Florida Operations Manager and Project Manager for Risk Management Program. From 2020 to 2021, they were the NASA KSC Technical Lead, Mission Assurance Engineering at APT (A-P-T Research, Inc.). Most recently, they have been the Vice President (VP), IT Operations at Applica Solutions, Inc. since 2021 and is currently the Senior Program Manager at Proteus Space, Inc. since 2022.

Bob Leeney has an extensive educational background. Bob obtained a Masters of Systems Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1995, a Bachelors of Electrical Systems Engineering from Wright State University in 1988, and completed their General education at Bogan High School in 1979. Bob also holds an AWS Partner: Cloud Economics Accreditation from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in May 2022. Additionally, they have experience with Applica Solutions, Inc.
