Rachel received her MSc in Innovation and Engineering Management as well as her BSc in Biology and Nutrition both from Tufts University in 2021 and 2022 respectively. With a focus on medicine and medical devices, her education transitioned into founding and becoming the CEO of Therrapu, a start-up based on nano-thread innovation to detect infection in open wounds. She and her team were the runners up in the Massachusetts Innovation Competition (2021) and grand-prize winners of the Tufts 100K (2022). She is an advocate for women in STEM, a mentor and leader for the Tufts Graduate School of Engineering, as well as a member of the Boston Young Professionals Association. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys writing and is currently in the process of finishing a novel, painting, running, traveling, and compiling a list of the best coffee shops across the world.
