Alex Blum

Alex Blum has a long and varied work experience. In 2011, they began their career as a Regional Sales Representative for Amazon.com. In 2013, they moved to WP Engine as an Enterprise Account Manager. In 2016, they joined Oracle as an Application Consulting in the Upmarket Human Capital Management: Oracle Digital Group. In 2017, they joined ThousandEyes (part of Cisco) as an Enterprise Account Executive, where they consistently overperformed quota, mentored younger reps, and grew the business. In 2018, they became the Founder and President of the Blum Family Foundation, as well as the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder & Chief Impact Officer of Applied Bioplastics, where they were responsible for creating the next generation of advanced cellulosic biopolymers to create a more sustainable world without sacrificing budget or quality of life. In 2020, they became an Inaugural Member of Greentown Labs and NOVA Impact, where they received training in movement building, strategic philanthropy, and impact investing. Alex also became a Leadership Council Member of the National Small Business Association.

Alex Blum attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2008 to 2014 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
