Christopher Wood

Chief Executive Officer at Applied Biorefinery Sciences

Christopher Wood has a long history of work experience. Starting in 2002 as a High School Job Shadow at SUNY ESF, they then moved on to become a Research Aide at the same institution in 2004. In 2008, they held roles as a Pulp Mill Intern at NewPage Corporation and a Research Analyst at SUNY-ESF. That same year, they also co-founded Applied Biorefinery Sciences and served as the Chief Technology Officer. In 2012, they were appointed as a Joachim Fellow at SUNY-ESF, a graduate fellowship focused on management in industry that included support of the department for various projects and teaching of a seminar course.

Christopher Wood completed their Bachelor's degree in Paper Engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry between 2004 and 2009. Christopher then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University between 2009 and 2011. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Paper Science and Engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in 2016.
