Lorretta Onchiri

Lorretta Onchiri is a Manufacturing Engineer III at Applied Composites since August 2023, bringing extensive experience from previous roles including Integration Manufacturing Engineer at Virgin Orbit and Associate Engineer-Tool at Northrop Grumman. At Virgin Orbit, Lorretta owned the primary rocket structure assembly, authored Work Instructions, and acted as an engineering liaison between design and production teams. At Northrop Grumman, Lorretta focused on process improvement, technology proposals, and tooling concept development. Earlier, Lorretta coordinated material specifications and component testing for aircraft at Compass Airlines. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an Associate of Science in Pre-Engineering from Normandale Community College.
