Clay Shorrock

Clay Shorrock is currently the Chief Legal Officer & Executive Director, Business Development at Applied DNA Sciences. Prior to this, they worked as an Intellectual Property and Corporate Attorney at The McHattie Law Firm from September 2014 to November 2016. There, they prosecuted patent applications in the biological, mechanical, medical device, software and chemical arts, in addition to representing trademark clients in inter partes and ex parte proceedings before the TTAB. Clay also has experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements relating to licensing, software and construction.

Before working at The McHattie Law Firm, Clay Shorrock was an Associate at London Fischer LLP from April 2014 to September 2014. There, they defended large commercial entities in New York Labor Law $$ 200, 240(1) and 241(6) actions. Clay also advised clients on complex insurance coverage issues relating to multiparty litigation and risk transfer.

Clay Shorrock studied biology as an undergraduate at Franklin & Marshall College. Clay then attended Seton Hall University School of Law, where they earned their J.D. with a concentration in intellectual property.

Their manager is James A. Hayward, President & CEO. They are on a team with Judy Murrah - COO, Beth Jantzen - CFO.
