Jackson Hew

Jackson Hew has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer at Cimation (M) Snd Bhd. In 2018, they moved on to become an Industrial Engineer at Bosch Power Tools for a brief period. In 2019, they took on multiple roles at Monash University, including being a Summer Researcher, a Deep Reinforcement Learning Team Software Engineer at Monash DeepNeuron, and an Autonomy Software Engineer at Monash Nova Rover. Jackson developed deep reinforcement learning agents and managed the development of the rover's autonomous navigation system. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Graduate Automation Engineer at Metromotion Controls. In 2021, they became an Engineering Fellow at Startmate before transitioning to be a System Integrator at SoftWire Systems until early 2022. Currently, they are working as an Embedded System Engineer at Applied EV.

Jackson Hew attended Monash University from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechatronics. In addition to their formal education, they have also acquired several certifications. In May 2018, Jackson obtained the CSWA certification from Dassault Systèmes. They further enhanced their skills by obtaining the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in November 2020. In February 2021, they acquired the Motion Planning for Self-Driving Cars certification from Coursera.
