Kunli Luo is a distinguished professor at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, since January 2000, and has also served as a professor in Applied Geology and Environmental Science since September 1978. Previous academic experience includes a professorship in the Department of Geology at Xian Mining Institute from May 1995 to December 1999. Kunli Luo holds a Ph.D. in Stratigraphy and Paleontology from ChangChun University of Earth Sciences (1986-1989), an M.S. in Geology from Xian Mining Institute (1982-1985), and a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science from Xian Mining Institute (1978-1982).
