Martin Picard is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in mitochondrial biology and genetics. Currently serving as a Professor and Co-Director of the Science of Health Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center since November 2015, Martin has held roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor during this tenure. Prior to this, Martin completed a Postdoctoral fellowship in mitochondrial genetics under Doug Wallace at the University of Pennsylvania from August 2012 to June 2015. Earlier academic achievements include earning a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mitochondrial Biology of Aging from McGill University, where training also encompassed exercise physiology, psychosocial oncology, and systems biology, from January 2008 to January 2012.
