Joshua Cohen has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. In 2011, they were an Intern for Multimedia Management at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, where they conducted interviews and developed a presentation on effective social media outreach. In 2013, they were a Product Development and Editorial Consultant at DRosengarten and a Canoeing Trips Staff at Kabeyun. In 2014, they were a Project Systems Engineering Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In 2015, they were a Scientific Software Engineering Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they built a dense offset field analysis application and developed a SAR image filter. In 2016, they were a Scientific Applications Software Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they developed software architecture for large-scale scientific computing packages/testbeds and algorithms for massive or rapid data processing. From 2018-2021, they were a Software Engineer - Radar Perception at Zoox Inc., where they developed and tested a range of software components and algorithms across the entire Radar stack. Currently, they are an Engineering at Applied Intuition.
Joshua Cohen's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics from Columbia Engineering from 2012 to 2016, and an International Baccalaureate from Atlanta International School from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from various institutions, such as the American Canoeing Association, Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO), and the American Red Cross, including Canoeing River Instructor Level 3, Wilderness First Aid, Basic First Aid, and Lifeguard (with Waterfront).
