Julie Banks

Julie Banks has extensive experience in global trade compliance, currently serving as Senior Global Trade Manager at Applied Materials since January 2022. In this role, Julie is responsible for creating and managing the company's software program to ensure compliance with export control regulations, particularly the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions. Previously, Julie held various positions at Poly from August 2005 to January 2022, including Global Trade Export Manager, where focus was placed on export policies across multiple regions and the development of global export compliance programs. Julie also worked as Global Export Supervisor, Global Trade Analyst, and Import/Export Clerk at SpectraLink from 2005 to 2007, gaining valuable skills in customs rulings and compliance assessments. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Project Management from Colorado State University and an Associate’s Degree in History from Red Rocks Community College.
