Liem Ferryanto is a Senior Director at Applied Materials, leading the Center of Excellence for Statistics-Aided Engineering since April 2016, following a role as Director focused on Product Characterization and Development & Technical Continuous Improvement. Previously, Liem served as Head of the Global R&D Design Excellence Program and Business Excellence MBB at Abbott and held multiple leadership positions at Novartis, including Director of Innovation, Quality & Productivity and Project Director for Next Generation Technology. Liem began a career in product development at Research In Motion in Canada and Ford Motor Co. in the USA, and started in project management at Fraunhofer ITWM in Germany. Liem holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Statistics from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, alongside degrees from Babson College and Thunderbird School of Global Management.
