Thomas Kemen

Thomas Kemen is an accomplished professional in the field of research and development, currently serving as Senior Director of Research & Development at Applied Materials since 2018, where Thomas also held the position of Director R&D Electron Beam Technology at ICT GmbH. Previously, Kemen worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2016 to 2018 as Manager R&D in Image Acquisition and Detection at FEI Company. Their extensive experience includes over a decade at ZEISS Group (2002-2015) as Director R&D MultiSEM Technology, where Thomas was a co-inventor and head of the first multibeam SEM development, as well as holding the position of Senior Scientist in Electron Optics and R&D Project Manager. Thomas Kemen earned a PhD and a Diploma in Physics from the University of Cologne, completing these degrees in 2002 and 1997, respectively.
