Chris Popma

Chris Popma is an experienced executive in the healthcare sector, currently serving as the Vice President of Europe Commercial Operations at Applied Medical since August 2016, where responsibilities include setting strategic direction for the European commercial organization and overseeing various departments focused on customer excellence, clinical education, and sustainability initiatives. Prior to this role, Chris was a Sales Director managing the medical devices business across multiple European countries. Earlier experience includes co-owning CV in Spe™, which supports career development for professionals, and holding significant roles at Nutricia, including Country Manager for South Africa and Commercial Director for medical nutrition, where Chris successfully built local organizations and established a strong market presence. Additional expertise includes financial oversight in the Middle East & Africa and foundational experience in finance at DSM. Chris holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam and completed an executive course in Product Strategy and Brand Management at Wits Business School.
