Daniel D'Angelo, P.E. has extensive work experience in the field of civil engineering. Daniel started their career at the New York State Department of Transportation in 2000, where they held various roles such as Director of Design Quality Assurance Bureau and Recovery Act Program Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for overseeing capital project development and delivery, managing transportation funding programs, and providing policy direction. Daniel also worked on notable projects such as the Tappan Zee Hudson River Crossing Project. Since 2017, they have been serving as a Principal Civil Engineer at Applied Research Associates, Inc.
Daniel D'Angelo, P.E. began their education journey in 1979 at the University at Buffalo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Daniel completed this program in 1983. In 2006, they enrolled at Norwich University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Leadership in 2008. In 2008-2009, Daniel pursued further education at Norwich University and received a Certification in Teaching and Learning (CTL). Later, in 2011-2012, they attended Rutgers University - Newark and obtained a Professional Certification in Public Performance Management.
Additionally, Daniel has pursued various certifications throughout their career. In 2012, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. In 2013, they acquired the Project Management Institute-Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) certification, followed by the Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certification in 2015, both from the Project Management Institute. Daniel also obtained the Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification from the New York State Education Department in July 2018. Most recently, in February 2021, they obtained the Construction Management: Project Delivery Methods certification from LinkedIn. Furthermore, in March 2012, they acquired a certification in Public Performance Measurement from Rutgers University.
