Andrew Wasmuth

Andrew Wasmuth has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry and pharmaceuticals. Andrew began their career at Provid Pharmaceuticals Inc., where they served as a Senior Scientist and later became the Manager of Drug Discovery Services. In this role, they contributed to various drug discovery projects.

In 2009, Wasmuth joined Columbia University Medical Center as an Associate Research Chemist. Here, they focused on medicinal chemistry, working on the discovery and development of novel aldose reductase inhibitors for the treatment of diabetic complications, specifically diabetic cardiomyopathy. Andrew provided medicinal chemistry support for internal projects and collaborated with industry and academia.

Since 2016, Wasmuth has been working at Applied Therapeutics, Inc. Andrew initially joined as a Consultant before becoming a Scientific Advisory Board Member.
