David Borecky

David Borecky has a comprehensive and diverse work experience spanning several industries. David currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at ApplyBoard since 2023. Prior to that, they were on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee Chair at MustGrow Biologics Corp starting from 2020. Before that, they worked at Impossible Foods as the Chief Financial Officer from 2019 to 2023 and as VP and Chief Accounting Officer from 2019 to 2021. David was also employed at Stripe as a Controller from 2016 to 2019. David Borecky has also held advisory and board member roles at RentMoola from 2017 to 2018. Earlier in their career, they worked at Square as the Principal of Corporate Development and Director of Finance from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they held various roles at OpenText from 2009 to 2014, including Controller of Corporate Finance & Treasury and Controller of Technical Accounting & Specialized Transactions. David Borecky completed an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting & Finance at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2002 to 2006. David then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Strategic Management and a focus on International Business at the Schulich School of Business - York University from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including Chartered Accountant (formerly the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario), Certified Public Accountant (Illinois Board of Examiners), Personal Financial Planner (Canadian Securities Institute), Chartered Investment Manager (Canadian Securities Institute), Corporate Finance Qualification (formerly the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario), and Controllership Executive Program (formerly the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario), although the start and end years for these certifications were not provided.
