Marc Stern has extensive work experience in the cybersecurity field. 🔑Marc started their career in 1989 at Philips, where they worked as a Software Engineer specializing in security, PKI, and Smart Card technologies. 🔑Marc then joined Texas Instruments Software as a Senior Software Engineer from 1995 to 1996. After that, they worked at CSC (now DXC Technology) as the Security Solutions Group Manager, where they managed the Belgian Security Business Line and Security Center of Competences and was involved in various IT security consulting projects. In 2007, they joined Approach Cyber as a Subject Matter Expert & Delivery Director, responsible for delivering high-end cybersecurity projects and overseeing the Approach WAF Application Intelligence product. Throughout their career, Marc has demonstrated expertise in IT security, systems and network architecture, internet technologies, and key management.
Marc Stern has a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Université libre de Bruxelles, which they obtained from 1984 to 1989. 🔑Marc also holds a Master's degree in Applied Science, with a focus on Mechanical Engineering and Computer Sciences, from the same university during the same time period. Prior to their university education, they attended Athénée Royal de Koekelberg from 1972 to 1984. Additionally, Marc Stern has several certifications including ISO/IEC 27032 Lead Cybersecurity Manager from PECB in 2017, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer from PECB in 2015, and CRISC from ISACA in 2011.
