Helen G.

Helen G. has extensive experience in social work and psychology, currently serving as a Social Work Masters Student with the Community Interventions Team at Durham County Council since October 2017. Previously, Helen G. worked as an Appropriate Adult in Custody for Appropriate Adults UK since July 2016 and completed a Social Work Masters Student role in Safeguarding at Durham County Council from February to June 2017. From April 2012 to July 2016, Helen G. was a Program Assessor/Facilitator focusing on interventions for male perpetrators of domestic abuse at Deter Innovations CIC. Earlier experience includes similar roles at the WA Domestic Violence Court from June 2004 to February 2009 and as a Psychologist within the Department of Corrective Services from January 1999 to February 2005, contributing to juvenile justice and maximum security prison teams. Helen G. holds a Master of Social Work from Durham University, a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from Edith Cowan University, and a BSc in Psychology and Criminology from Teesside University.
