Carina Fonseca

Carina Fonseca has a diverse work experience. Carina is currently a Lead Product Designer at Appsmith since 2023, prior to which they were a UX Research and Design Teacher at EDIT. - Disruptive Digital Education since 2022. From 2016 to 2022, they were employed at OutSystems, where they held various roles, including Team Lead of a Product Design team focused on the developer experience, Team Lead of a Continuous Discovery team composed of User Experience Researchers, Senior Product Designer, Growth, Product Designer, Core Product, and Intern at R&D Engineering. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Freelancer, Web Designer, and Full Stack Developer, responsible for the design and development of various websites. In 2015, they also had a Summer Internship / Full Stack Developer role at Chic by Choice, where they conducted UX research and analytics analysis to propose changes in the e-commerce flows and increase conversions.

Carina Fonseca obtained a BSc in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico in 2011-2014. Carina then achieved an MSc in Computer Science from the same institution in 2015-2017. In 2018, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance and a number of certifications from the Nielsen Norman Group, including The Human Mind and Usability, Application Design for Web and Desktop, and The One-Person UX Team Tool Box. In 2019, Carina completed an Experimentation and Testing Course from Reforge, as well as a specialized UX, User Experience Course from Xperienz - Research and Design.
