Heather Lien

Heather Lien, DNP, FNP-BC, CDCES, BC-ADM, DipABLM has extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Heather is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Training and Development at apree health since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Amazon from August 2018 to October 2021 as the Associate Medical Director - Education, Nurse Practitioner at Amazon Care/Care Medical. Heather also served as a Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist at the University of Washington from January 2015 to August 2018. Before that, they worked at Group Health Cooperative as a Nurse Practitioner and Program Manager for Advanced Diabetes Management from October 2011 to January 2015. Heather was a Program Manager, Nurse Practitioner, and Diabetes Educator at Overlake Hospital from October 2008 to October 2011. Heather's experience also includes working as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Diabetes Technology & Education Program Developer at Emerald City Medical Arts from April 2006 to October 2008, and as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Family Care Clinic from November 2004 to April 2006.

Heather Lien, DNP, FNP-BC, CDCES, BC-ADM, DipABLM, holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Health Systems Leadership from Seattle University. Heather also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from Seattle University. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, Advanced Diabetes Management- Board Certified, and CDCES (Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education). Heather Lien is also an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), a Certified Diabetes Technology Clinician, and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Furthermore, they hold a Health Coach Certification and is a Registered Nurse.
