Samuel Bennett

Samuel Bennett, FSA, MAAA has a diverse work experience in the field of actuarial services. Most recently, they have served as the Senior Director of Contracting and Actuarial Services at apree health since January 2022. Prior to that, they were an Associate Director of Actuarial Services at UnitedHealthcare from February 2019 to December 2021.

Samuel also has experience at Milliman, where they held various roles including Actuary from March 2018 to February 2019, Associate Actuary from January 2015 to March 2018, and Actuarial Analyst from April 2013 to January 2015. Before their time at Milliman, they worked as an Actuarial Pricing Analyst at GMAC Insurance from December 2011 to March 2013.

Samuel's early career included an internship as a Fixed-Cost Analyst at National Life Group from December 2010 to August 2011. Samuel also worked as a Subject Area Tutor and Teaching Assistant at the University of Vermont from January 2010 to May 2010.

Prior to their professional career, Samuel gained experience as an Intern/Volunteer at VNA Family Room from January 2009 to May 2009.

Samuel Bennett, FSA, MAAA, obtained a B.A. degree from the University of Vermont in 2011, majoring in Economics and Sociology with a minor in Mathematics. Samuel also studied Business at Qingdao University in 2010 and Economics at McGill University from 2006 to 2007. Samuel achieved the designation of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in 2018 and became a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries in 2015.
