Noubar Afeyan

Noubar Afeyan is the Founder and CEO of Flagship Pioneering, a company that has developed over 100 scientific ventures and generated over $25 billion in value since its launch in 2000. Noubar is also a Member of the Board of Trustees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Afeyan has co-founded and served as Chairman for multiple biotechnology companies including Moderna Therapeutics, Omega Therapeutics, Generate Biomedicines, Inc., Apriori Bio, Tessera Therapeutics, Montai Health, Alltrna, and ProFound Therapeutics.

Noubar Afeyan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University between 1980 and 1983. Noubar then pursued further studies and obtained a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1983 to 1987.
