Bill Swortwood

Bill Swortwood has extensive experience in software architecture and engineering, with a career spanning multiple organizations since 1996. Currently serving as an Architect - Software at Apriva since January 2010, Bill specializes in designing software for a variety of platforms including Red Hat Linux, Android, iOS, Windows Mobile, and embedded secure military systems. Prior roles include Principal Engineer at both Apriva ISS and Cummings Engineering Consultants, as well as consulting positions at Olocity and General Dynamics, where Bill focused on secure software and RTOS application management. Previous significant contributions include system management architecture at uXcomm, leadership roles at Motorola in service availability standards, and systems management at Intel. Bill holds a degree from the University of San Francisco.
