Janine Burr-Willans

Janine Burr-Willans has held various roles in the publishing industry. From 2004 to 2011, they worked at Blackwell Publishing and Wiley-Blackwell as a Journal Production Manager and Journal Content Management Director respectively. In 2012, they joined EmeraldPublishing as the Head of Content Management and later became the Head of Operations. From 2015 to 2018, they were the Editorial Director at Research Media. Janine then worked at EMERALD - Sustainable Campus Publishers Network as the Head of Operations from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they joined Deanta Global as the Director of Platform Delivery. In 2021, they worked at Wood as the Technical Publications and Information Management Manager. Currently, they are the Strategic Accounts Director for the UK & Europe at Aptara, and will soon be transitioning into the role of Senior Director of Sales in October 2023.

Janine Burr-Willans holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Publishing from Edinburgh Napier University. Janine is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in International Human Resource Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University, with an expected completion year of 2022. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Certified Mentor from Mentorloop in June 2023.
