Nick Carbone

Nick Carbone has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of higher education content services, instructional design, research and writing, digital learning technology, and writing center management. Nick has held managerial roles at Aptara and LearningMate, where they focused on developing learning design teams and curricula, collaborating with clients, and implementing best practices. Additionally, Carbone has experience as a chief cook and bottle-washer, creating content for various mediums. Nick also served as an editorial and learning design leader at Macmillan Learning, overseeing the creation of online learning content and educational technology products. Earlier in their career, Carbone worked as a writing center director and writing committee chair, focusing on course development, online tutoring, and mentoring.

Nick Carbone earned a Master of Arts degree in English from Boston College from 1986 to 1988. Nick then pursued a doctoral degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Composition with a focus on Teaching Writing with Technology from 1991 to 2000.
