Gordon MacDonald

Gordon Macdonald has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. Gordon currently serves as the Head of R&D for Aptean's Retail Planning department since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Aptos Retail, where they held the positions of Senior Director - Product (from May 2021 to November 2022) and Product Director - Planning, PLM & Chain (January 2018 to May 2021). Before joining Aptos Retail, Macdonald was the Global Product Director at TXT Retail, an Aptos Company, from February 2016 to January 2018. Gordon also worked as a Product Director at TXT e-solutions from January 2013 to February 2016. Prior to that, Macdonald held roles at Maple Lake as CTO (September 2010 to January 2013) and Head of Technical Services (February 2007 to September 2010). Gordon worked as a Global Technical Pre Sales Consultant at Torex Retail from 2004 to 2007 and as the Director of Development at Compass, Torex Retail from 1999 to 2004. Macdonald's career started at Compass Software Ltd, where they worked as a Development Manager from 1995 to 1998.

Gordon Macdonald obtained a BSc Hons degree in Computer Information Systems from Glasgow Caledonian University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994.
