Wendy Jess-Pinder has been working in the behavioral health field since 2004. Wendy began their career as a Certified Teaching Assistant at Sharon Springs Central School in 2004. In 2008, they took on the role of Intensive Case Manager at Northeast Parent and Child Society. Wendy then moved to South Carolina Department of Mental Health in 2014, where they were a Crisis and Primary Mental Health therapist, providing clinical assessment of people with psychiatric disorders and mobile crisis intervention throughout Charleston SC. In 2018, they started working at St. James Hospital/UR Medicine as a Psychiatric Assessment Officer. Most recently, they began working at aptihealth as a Behavioral Health Specialist in 2021.
Wendy Jess-Pinder obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Union Institute & University in 2007-2008. Wendy then went on to complete a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution in 2010-2012. Afterward, they received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Clinical Mental Health from the University at Buffalo Graduate School in 2012-2014. Additionally, they have obtained a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional from PESI in October 2019 and an Advanced Graduate Certificate Clinical Mental Health from the University at Buffalo Graduate School of Education Global Campus.
