Head Of Platform Performance EMEA at Aptos

Richard Vining began their work experience in 1999 as a Principle Consultant at Uovo FI Systems, where they were responsible for delivering their first eCommerce Java-based solution. Richard then co-founded Linear Ten Limited in 2002 and served as its Development Director, working on multi-channel solutions for clients such as Argos Interactive Kiosks, BT, Liverpool Football Club, and Virgin Megastores. In 2004, Vining joined Fresca Ltd as the Head of Application Development and played a key role in creating the successful FrescaCommerce platform. Fresca Ltd was later acquired by British Telecom, becoming part of BT Expedite, where Vining continued as the Head of QA and Performance. In 2016, BT Expedite was acquired by Aptos Retail, and Vining took on the role of Head of Platform Performance EMEA, specializing in Digital Commerce Platform Performance and Quality Governance.

Richard Vining completed their Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Business Studies at the University of Sunderland. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Bristol from 1998 to 1999.
