Alex Chang, PhD

Alex Chang, PhD has extensive experience in business development and alliance management in the biopharmaceutical industry. Alex is currently serving as the Senior Director of Business Development at Aptose Biosciences, Inc. since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Program & Alliance Management, and Ex USA Sales at Acrotech Biopharma, LLC from October 2020 to December 2021. Alex also worked as a Business Development Consultant at Percuro Consulting LLC from March 2020 to December 2021.

Before joining Percuro Consulting, Alex held the position of Senior Director of Business Development at Shanghai Henlius Biotech, Inc. from September 2019 to February 2020. At Helsinn Group, they worked as the Executive Director of Business Development at Helsinn Therapeutics US from May 2017 to August 2019, responsible for oncology-related in-licensing activities.

Alex has also served as a Board Member at Rutgers Industry Advisory Board - Life Science from 2009 to 2019 and as an Editorial Advisory Board Member at Life Science Leader Magazine from December 2014 to March 2017.

Earlier in their career, Alex held positions such as Head of Business Development and Alliance Management at Klox Technologies Inc., Director of Global Licensing & Business Development at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, and Director of Business Development at Samyang Corporation.

Throughout their career, Alex has demonstrated strong expertise in business development, alliance management, and in-licensing activities within the biopharmaceutical industry.

Alex Chang, PhD has a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Biochemistry, with minors in English and Economics, from Rutgers University. Alex also holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
