Victor Gao

Victor Gao is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in the field. Currently employed at Aptos Labs since June 2022, Victor focuses on the Move programming language, contributing to its virtual machine, compiler, testing, and tooling, including EVM cross-compilation. Prior to this, Victor worked at Meta from March 2019 to June 2022 and held intern positions there, where contributions included designing an LLVM-based dynamic dead store detection tool and developing a clang-tidy based linter. In addition, Victor served as a course assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, delivering lectures for a seminar on competitive programming topics. Victor holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, attained in 2019.
