Luiz Cota

Luiz Cota has a diverse and extensive work experience in the cybersecurity and technology industry. Luiz is currently the Head of Global Channels at Apura Cybersecurity Intelligence, where they hold a leadership position and manages global channels. Prior to this, Luiz was a Co-Founder, Investor, and Board Member at Aurus Software, leading the company's development of channels and service providers globally. Luiz played a key role in market development by participating in major global events and ensuring adherence to technical requirements and certifications. Luiz also co-founded and served on the board of Cyberinsurance Corretora de Seguros, a cybersecurity insurance brokerage.

Before these ventures, Luiz worked as a Territory Manager in Latin America for Offensive Security and as a Country Manager and Consultant at Opensouth, a local startup for various security companies. Luiz also held roles at Cisco - IronPort Systems as a Channel Manager and at SurfControl as a Country Manager, where they led operations, developed channels, and built successful teams. Additionally, Luiz has worked as a Visiting Professor in Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation at Poli-USP - PECE. Luiz Cota has a diverse education history. In 1987, they obtained their High School Diploma in Industrial Electronics Technology/Technician from Etec Lauro Gomes. Luiz then pursued an Engineer's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado from 1991 to 1998. In 1999, Luiz completed a Postgraduate Degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from FAAP. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in 2000-2001. Recently, in 2021, Luiz engaged in mentoring at INVESTOR ADVISORS SMART MENTORING.
