Richard Johnston

Rick Johnston joins APV to lead the contracts department. Rick has over 30 years of experience in federal contracting coupled with expertise in finance. Rick has a broad and deep background in contract and procurement administration gained from a wide variety of industries including software/systems integration, grants management, intelligence/classified, and healthcare. He also served as a government Contracting Officer for the Navy. In addition, Rick brings a complementary accounting/finance background as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Rick's subject matter expertise includes such areas as acquisition planning, risk analysis, subcontracts/procurement, grants management, pricing, change control/management, process improvement, policies/procedures, business management, organizational structure, and closeouts. Rick earned a BS in accounting from George Mason University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Virginia.
